Dr. Fraser Thompson is a senior fellow at the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI), McKinsey's business and economics research arm, based in London. Fraser leads MGI's work on natural resources, including issues such as resource productivity and economic development in resource-rich countries. Recent projects include “Resource Revolution: Meetings the world’s energy, materials, food, and water needs” (Nov 2011); “Beyond the boom: Australia’s productivity imperative” (Aug 2012); “The archipelago economy: Unleashing Indonesia’ potential” (Sept 2012); and “Myanmar’s moment: Unique opportunities, major challenges” (June 2013). Fraser is also leading MGI’s current research effort on “economic development in resource-driven countries”, which focuses on how resource-rich countries can transform their sub-soil wealth into long-term prosperity, exploring issues such as shared infrastructure, local content and economic diversification.

Andrew was previously a Director at the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) where he was responsible for standards and licensing, managed global seafood sourcing for British retailer Marks and Spencer and was an advisor to government ministers. Andrew has a degree in Fisheries Science (Plymouth) and received national and international awards for seafood standards

He was previously the Managing Director of Norskan AS for 3 years (until 2006) with one year based in Brazil, before joining Austevoll Seafood ASA as the CEO.

Bernt Bodal is majority owner, Chairman and CEO of American Seafoods Group (ASG), one of the world’s largest fishing and processing companies with annual sales of approximately $350 million and 900 employees. ASG owns and operates six sophisticated catcher-processors in U.S. waters off Alaska and the Pacific Northwest and is the largest harvester and at-sea processor of Alaska pollock, Pacific hake and yellowfin sole. The Company maintains an international marketing network through its sales offices in the U.S., Japan, China and Europe. From 1990 to 1998, Mr. Bodal served as President and CEO of ASG’s predecessor companies, American Seafoods Company and Resource Group International (ASC/RGI). In 1999, Mr. Bodal joined with private equity fund manager Centre Partners to acquire the U.S. assets of ASC/RGI, resulting in the creation of ASG. Mr. Bodal became ASG’s Chairman and CEO in 2000. In 2006, Mr. Bodal led a management buyout from Centre Partners and became American Seafoods’ controlling equity holder. Mr. Bodal became the majority equity holder in 2010 following the buyout of another major equity holder.
